NYSBA will
assist every lawyer in having a computer with email and
Internet access by June 2004.

NYSBA will
provide expanded resources to assist members to go online.
i) Broaden scope, diversity and accessibility of CLE
offerings.
ii) Expand information about benefits of going online.
iii) Offer member discounts on hardware and software.
iv) Promote section and committee efforts to research
innovative approaches for the use of emerging technologies.

NYSBA will
expand the use of technology to conduct Association
business.
i) Support section and committees' efforts to utilize
teleconference and video conferencing in an effort to
encourage member participation in meetings, meetings and
implement a pilot teleconferencing project at the Bar Center
in Albany and at least 2 other locations in NYS before end
of 2003.
ii) NYSBA's Executive Committee will begin using the web and
email lists for the distribution and exchange of documents
before end of 2002.
iii) NYSBA to publish House of Delegate and Executive
Committee actions onto the web site before end of 2002.

The NYSBA web
site will become the online, "community for New York law
practice."
i) Support sections' efforts to build online communities.
ii) Expand NYSBA's web presence to become a filter or portal
to public information maintained by state and Federal
agencies.
iii) Develop new rules relating to privacy, security and
accessibility of public information for this online
community.

NYSBA will expand the use of electronic networks and
Internet-based solutions to provide expanded information to
the public.
